Licensing Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
amirulkhan.in publishes two kinds of content, licensed differently. This page explains which license applies where, and what you're allowed to do with each. If a page doesn't say otherwise, the Open license below applies.
2. Open Content — CC BY-NC 4.0
Practice MCQs, CBSE chapter notes, grammar guides, and blog posts are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). You may share and adapt this content for non-commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate attribution and link back to the original page.
3. Protected Content — All Rights Reserved
Pages marked with a "🔒 Protected Content" notice — the literary theory and criticism analyses, author overviews, and literary-period history pages under the UGC NET section — are All Rights Reserved, not covered by the CC BY-NC license above. You're welcome to read, cite, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back, the same as quoting any published book or article. Reproducing or republishing these pages in full, anywhere, requires written permission.
4. Question Bank Compilation
Individual facts and questions cannot be copyrighted, but the specific selection, sequencing, and arrangement of questions into practice sets is a compilation protected under copyright law, separate from the license on any individual question. Wholesale copying of a practice set's structure and ordering is not covered by the Open license.
5. Software & Design
The website's underlying source code, interactive tools, and visual design are proprietary and are not covered by either content license above.
6. Institutional Use
Schools, coaching institutes, and other organisations wanting to distribute downloadable worksheets or PDFs to a class or cohort — beyond a single learner's personal use — should reach out via the Contact page to arrange an institutional license.
7. Questions
For any licensing question not covered here, please reach out via the Contact page. See also our Terms of Service.
