The sentence below has one grammatical error. Find the incorrect word and write the correction.

'Ivan Lomov' is a singular third-person subject. In the simple past, singular subjects (he/she/it and their equivalents) use 'was', not 'were'. 'Were' is for plural subjects and second person ('you'). 'Ivan Lomov was nervous' is the correct form.
